• Oversees the planning and implementation of World Asthma Day Poster Contest and Celebration
• Promotes programs and targets identified schools with high incidence of asthma 

Douglas MacArthur School Flag for Clean Air Program

The ceremonial flag raising will be October 1, 2007 @ 2:30pm 

Collaborators:  Douglas MacArthur Elementary School, American Lung Association of Indiana, Anthem, Asthma Alliance of Indianapolis, & Improving Kids Environment

Goal: To improve the health of our school population thereby improving attendance and scholastic achievement.

Objectives:  Utilize Air Quality Flags, train staff & students to use flags, provide educational materials for parents.  Establish an educational program to protect faculty, staff & student's exposure to poor outdoor air quality.  Improve health of our school population thereby improving attendance & scholastic achievement.

Students will record the use of the flags over 2 three month periods.
