Welcome and introductions went around the room:

2011 Asthma Report:

  • AAI is in the process of creating a 2011 Asthma Report. Last edition was in 2006.   Purpose is to educate the community about the accomplishments of the AAI and the services we provide.
  • The report will have local asthma data from MCPHD Epidemiology Department
  • Target date for print is September 2011

AAI Website:

  • AAI is in search for someone to volunteer time to update, post and manage this for 2011/2012, please contact Robin if you are interested in being able to take on this task.

 Elections for new AAI Chair:

  • The term is ending for our current Chair, Debbie Koehl on June 30, 2011
  • We need volunteers/ nominations for a new chair
  • 2 year term
  • Please consider taking on this role for our coalition. It is important that we continue to work as a community- based coalition not just a program of the MCPHD. Please contact Robin or Debbie if you are interested, would like to nominate someone or if you have questions/ concerns about the time commitment.

PLEASE CONSIDER PROVIDING LEADERSHIP AND NEW IDEAS TO OUR COALITION. We are in our 14th year as a coalition so AAI activities run smoothly with little direction.
